All the best to your family. Ours is grown and we still struggle between travel and “home”.
More and more we find our Greek island paradise calling us more than Oregon roots.

I work with Tom here at MySpace who told me about this site. This window into your lives traveling together is pretty amazing. How do you guys like California so far (aside from traffic, parking and air pollution)?

Just to set expectations
Tom’s commute will only be easy on Sundays, ok maybe on saturdays too

Sunset, Wilshire and Santa Monica will be a challenge for him depending on this transit times. But his commute will be better than my La Dera Heights to Pasadena commute. Welcome home and Traveling Grace

My family and I have enjoyed your adventures since the begining and are travelers ourselves — we are heading to Australia in March. It has been some time since I checked in and am surprised to see you moving to all places — my hometown — actually we are in the Palisades now for the holidays! Best of luck and we look forward to continually checking in — we are hoping to go to China next year through the teaching program that you did.

I have to say I found your positive statements about Tom’s layoff wonderful. Each day I get asked if my husband has found a job and if he is looking. I am holding down the “financial rope”. Mean time after many years of him working M-F and myself working weekends and holiday’s we have family time. He loves being more involved with the kids at school. We have really been examining the possibilities of the “unconventional” working Mom/stay at home Dad. I very much understand what you said about the positives of Tom being home.
I can’t wait to read about your new adventure
