Incommunicado in Namibia

This may be a big shock, but the camp sites in Africa have no internet access. I just wanted to let you know that we will be very slow to answer emails and comments sent over the last week or two. I got on for a half an hour today to get a couple of posts up and clear the 1000+ spam comments. We will be in Cape Town soon and will be back online then. Don’t let our absence stop you from sending us stuff. We love all the comments.

  1. My family has been planning a year sailing trip (with outreach as a focal point like your trip) for probably eight years now, and have financially succeeded at saving for such a venture. Now that we’re close to the 2007 or 2008 planned departure date, my husband has the opportunity to start his own business–a lifelong goal of his. Our two dreams are crashing! I’m happy for my husband, but sick of the possibly of our sailing trip slipping from our fingers. We have a nine-year-old son and an eleven-year-old son and believe this is the best time to do such a venture. I have even agreed to shorten the trip to three months, but this too doesn’t seem like it will pan out. Any advice?
